This week has been a pretty good week for us. Earlier this week I received a copy of the Coastal Explorer navigation software from Rosepoint Navigation Systems. This is a great product and has many great features that will help me to navigate including voice output. I would like to welcome our new sponsor and thank them for their support. Please go to http://www.rosepointnav.com to check out Coastal Explorer for yourself. It is one of the best nav software on the market and getting better.
Yesterday I received word that the boat is definitely ours. Most of the formalities have gone forward and Edison Sailing Center is helping to fix the engine and get the boat up to North Fort Myers. We are moving forward and things are falling into place. I’m really excited to get the boat and get out for some sailing, but much work does have to be done first. Thanks goes out to the Edison Sailing Center for finding a boat and letting us use it for the Blind Circumnavigation.

Monday Karen and I went to the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. This show is the largest in the US, and sports manufacturers of boating equipment, yacht designers, and many large yachts on display. We arrived at the show just after the doors opened to see as much as we could in the short seven hours we had on the last day of the show.
The day was a big success for us. We had a great time meeting people and telling them about the Blind Circumnavigation. I was joyed by interest and support that was shown by everyone we met. Many contacts were made for potential sponsors. For those of you whom I met at the show, it was a pleasure meeting and chatting with you and I look forward to working with you as we get closer to the launch of the Blind Circumnavigation.
