This past weekend I had a great time at Shake-a-leg Miami for the No Barriers Festival. The first two night there I stayed on a Dean 400 catamaran. I met and sailed with Scott Duncan as he demonstrated the use of a talking GPS for navigation. Scott is a legally blind sailor who is currently circumnavigating. He has been working on it for 5 years. It was great to meet him and exchange information.

While there I also met Eric Weihenmayer, the first blind climber to climb Mt. Everest. It was definitely a pleasure meeting him.

I also was able to meet all the folks at Team Paradise. Team Paradise is a paralympic sailing team with many top sailors. I was able to have a great time sailing with them on Saturday and Sunday.

I really enjoyed a long weekend at Shake-a-Leg Miami meeting great people, making new friends, and having a great time on the water.
